We have no high-school biology teachers in Mankato, MN, who practice Islam. I’m quite sure.
However, we have a fair number of Somali youth who are feeling a bit disenchanted with the school system as it is. I think that if they saw at least a bit of their reflection in the teaching staff, more would take school seriously.
Have you considered teaching in southern Minnesota?

Thanks for the comment Asad. Glad you enjoyed the series on that book. I’m working on my Masters as well. Graduate school is a different animal than undergrad. Good luck!

Salaam,
Mashallah very noble thoughts. Inshallah you will succeed in your endeavours. It will be good for kids to have a Muslim Biology teacher, especially so they may be enlightened on theories like Intelligent Design rather than be droned with Evolution hoaxes. Plus, readin your site tells me you follow a middle path which is essential to reach out to the new generation.
May Allah help you. Best Wihes,
Sanam
