I am a Muslim living in Naperville, Illinois. I have a Bachelor’s in Biology from University of Illinois-Chicago. In August 2009, I will start law school at DePaul in Chicago. I love trivia and was once on Jeopardy! where I earned $2,000.

I'm Asad Jaleel. I'm a law student at DePaul in Chicago (Downtown Campus). My family is from Karachi, Pakistan. I'm a Muslim. I enjoy working out, playing video games, reading, and blogging.
We have no high-school biology teachers in Mankato, MN, who practice Islam. I’m quite sure.
However, we have a fair number of Somali youth who are feeling a bit disenchanted with the school system as it is. I think that if they saw at least a bit of their reflection in the teaching staff, more would take school seriously.
Have you considered teaching in southern Minnesota?

Mashallah very noble thoughts. Inshallah you will succeed in your endeavours. It will be good for kids to have a Muslim Biology teacher, especially so they may be enlightened on theories like Intelligent Design rather than be droned with Evolution hoaxes. Plus, readin your site tells me you follow a middle path which is essential to reach out to the new generation.

I realize that my About page does not tell a lot about me. I prefer to let my posts speak for me. By reading my posts, visitors to the site learn about my interests, my opinions, and my dreams.
As for mentioning that I am a Muslim, I think I view that differently from how you do. I am very proud of the fact that I am a Muslim, a worshipper of Allah and a follower of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Also, many of my posts reference Islam and I say that I am Muslim to give those posts a context.
